THE LAKE EYRE/KATI THANDA SERIES
Geographically, the lowest spot in Australia, Lake Kati Thanda was the great white whale
for many explorers. It was thought Australia had at its center a large 'inland sea'. In 2019,
waters from Queensland flooded into the lake, courtesy of cyclone Trevor. I shot 35mm
slide film and 6x6 negative films to capture the life around the lake on the old Ghan railway
line as I trekked toward the white whale of Australia's interior.
